I was very lucky that out of the three paintings I put into the exhibition I sold two. Had you joined an Art Society, they usually have exhibitions and I know if you got your work out there it would sell. Many thanks for your support, Frank! :) Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-13861057500566300242012-10-10T00:18:55.393-07:002012-10-10T00:18:55.393-07:00Thank you Jessica, and thanks stopping by! :)Thank you Jessica, and thanks stopping by! :)Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-60355911563893835552012-10-10T00:18:01.401-07:002012-10-10T00:18:01.401-07:00Thank you so much, Jan! It made me very happy to discover it was someone from my home town who bought the painting, nice to think of my work, 'going home'. I'm so relieved this sunflower turned out okay, as others I did were awful. :)Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-64132702179252510002012-10-08T12:06:25.411-07:002012-10-08T12:06:25.411-07:00Lovely sheep and lamb painting Ingrid and it's...Lovely sheep and lamb painting Ingrid and it's great you sold a painting, I haven't sold one yet!!!_Frankb10https://www.blogger.com/profile/18151551321981740679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-13473706161961110672012-09-05T07:26:26.147-07:002012-09-05T07:26:26.147-07:00Very nice.:)Very nice.:)Lady Fishbonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09321399976445274158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-71036919579595359052012-09-03T16:08:37.890-07:002012-09-03T16:08:37.890-07:00The sunflower is wonderfully painted...Lucky perso...The sunflower is wonderfully painted...Lucky person who took the sheep painting home!Jani Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15778762404164894580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-81988208769618433712012-09-02T01:29:34.182-07:002012-09-02T01:29:34.182-07:00Thank you for stopping by and leaving such kind wo...Thank you for stopping by and leaving such kind words BJ. :)Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-11351044700572833912012-09-01T14:52:11.460-07:002012-09-01T14:52:11.460-07:00Many thanks for coming by my blog and your lovely ...Many thanks for coming by my blog and your lovely comment.
I did see this sunflower on the forum, but again have to say how beautifully painted it is.
You have developed a style in the time you've been painting. When a person stands before a painting they can really have no idea the work that goes into them. Sometimes a painting can almost paint itself and other times (like the one I am on just now) we can do it over and over and still not feel we have caught that 'certain something' ... I think it's that 'certain something' that makes the viewer wish to purchase our work. :)Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-17383130655379019062012-08-31T06:49:47.624-07:002012-08-31T06:49:47.624-07:00I am exactly the same with 'word verification&...I am exactly the same with 'word verification' Sharon, I find it hard to make the letters out sometimes and although I persevere, I know it puts a lot of people off leaving a comment. I discovered this morning that my sheep painting was bought by someone in Dundee. I was born and grew up in Dundee, so it gave me a warm glow to think my painting has ended up back there. Thank you for all the support you give me, Sharon and I hope you are enjoying your hols too! :)
Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-68535554331354425722012-08-31T06:42:57.348-07:002012-08-31T06:42:57.348-07:00Hi Kathryn ... Yo...Many thanks for your great comments, Katherine. You mention a story, I must tell you what I discovered. I tried to paint another Sunflower, facing the opposite way and although I painted it numerous times it was a mess. It reminded me of a dog painting I did recently, I had horrendous problems with it then my friend John turned the photo round and told me to paint it. I did and it worked. As I paint from left to right it seems easier if the subject is facing me, I wonder if anyone has found something similar. My sheep painting I sold at an Exhibition, some are commissions but mainly it is exhibitions. I joined Redbubble, and Etsy last year but have yet to do anything with them. Thanks again Katherine. :) Ingrid Ormestadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13917258359277975186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4507168568995259906.post-86772131862371380332012-08-29T16:05:16.934-07:002012-08-29T16:05:16.934-07:00Hello Ingrid, congratulations on selling the paint...Hello Ingrid, congratulations on selling the painting. I like that it has no stem, it's free to explore and experience the world, and it seems to be doing that, with the green leaves trailing behind. It tells a good story! I also like the sheep and lamb painting. Where do you sell your work?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05600673251180423439noreply@blogger.com
